Here at Christianityworks, we take your privacy very seriously indeed. Here’s how:
System Level Data Retention and Limitations
When you visit this site, our Internet Service Provider (ISP) may make a record of your visit, logging the following information for statistical purposes:
- Your server address
- Your top level domain name (for example .com, .gov, .au, .uk, etc)
- The date and time of your visit
- The pages you accessed and documents downloaded
- The previous site you have visited
- The type of browser you are using
- Access to information collected
During the normal course of business, we will not make any attempt to identify visitors to this site or their browsing history, except as listed above. In other words, unless you give us information about yourself (e.g. when requesting a free resource or making a donation) your anonymity will be preserved.
However, in the unlikely event of an investigation, a law enforcement agency or other government agency may exercise its legal authority to inspect any information that is captured by our ISP or by Christianityworks.
No online system can be considered to be 100% secure – that much is evident from the high profile hacking events that periodically make the news. However, here at Christianityworks, we make every effort to ensure that where appropriate, data is securely transmitted, and that all data that we do hold is held in industry standard, secure data stores, using best practice security measures. To this end, we regularly update software, operating systems and where required, hardware, to ensure maximum protection against unauthorised access to data.
Any personal data that you do provide to Christianityworks through this site, will be stored and retained. We will also store and retain a record of interactions that we have with you (e.g. which free offers you requested, when that free offer was satisfied, the amount and date of any donations you make, etc). However, all of this information will be treated in the strictest of confidence. It will not be shared with, traded or sold to any other organisation. Ever! Even within Christianityworks, access to such personal information is strictly quarantined to only those staff who need to access it.
In the event that you provide your credit card, bank account, PayPal or any other payment information to Christianityworks through this site, we will use secure data transmission technology to ensure that this sensitive information is not breached. Christianityworks does not store your credit card, bank account or PayPal information. It passes it through securely to our contracted electronic payment gateway providers (eWay and PayDock) and only such data as is required to process a transaction is retained by those service providers.
If you provide us with your email and/or postal address details in response to a free offer that we have made to you, or as a part of a donation or other financial transaction, Christianityworks reserves the right to send you emails and/or hard copy letters (as appropriate) with additional free offers, ministry content and, on occasion, requests for prayer and financial support. However, you are able to easily request – at any time – that we no longer send you this correspondence. Should you do so, we undertake to comply with your request as quickly as is practicable.
